Tuesday Evening PDC World Championship Preview

James Punt was back on form on Monday with two winners from three tips posted. Chizzy landed us a nice full house bet too vs De Decker earlier today at 2.88. He has previewed all of tonight’s games too and he has four recommended bets. Check out James Punt’s Tuesday Evening PDC World Championship tips below.

Vincent van der Voort vs. Adam Hunt

Adam Hunter beat Boris Krčmar 3-0 in the first round. It was a workmanlike performance, he averaged 89 which is pretty much bang on his seasonal average. Krčmar was poor, it must be said, and he never settled into the match.

Vincent van der Voort has lost six of his last ten matches with six of them showing sub 90 averages. The same can be said for Hunter but he has won five of his last ten. The H2H stats are a convincing 4-0 to Vincent but three went to a deciding leg, so maybe not that convincing after all.

Van der Voort has a very good record in his opening match in the World Championship, winning thirteen of his fourteen matches. He is the 1.40 favourite with Hunt 3.00.

This could be a bit of a grind. Both players have tended towards low scoring recently, but I’ll take Van der Voort to win by a whisker.

Tuesday Evening PDC World Championship Tips: 1 point Van der Voort to win 3-2 @ 4.75 with Quinnbet

Michael Smith vs. Ron Meulenkamp

The H2H stats suggest that Smith is in some danger here. He is 6-5 vs. Ron The Bomb, 1-1 in 2021, and it is Meulenkamp who has won five of their last seven matches. Perhaps it is the fact that Ron is a slow, deliberate player who won’t play at the pace that Smith likes.

Smith has won a lot of matches in 2021 and he has won seven of his last ten, but the major titles still remain elusive. He has tended to struggle in his opening matches here, losing four of his ten openers, including for the last two years. He has never won his opening match to nil, three being 3-1 and three 3-2. Bully Boy beat Meulenkamp 3-1 here in his 2018 opener.

Meulenkamp has the advantage of having a match under his belt already, but he has lost all three of his second-round matches in the World Championship. His recent form is poor with just three wins from his last ten and he only averaged 87 in his 3-0 win over an out of sorts Lisa Ashton.

It is hard to see Meulenkamp winning despite his decent H2H record against Smith, but he might just win a set and repeat the score of their 2018 match.

Tuesday Evening PDC World Championship Tips: 1 point Michael Smith to win 3-1 @ 3.30 with Betfred

Dimitri van den Bergh vs. Florian Hempel

Van den Bergh has lost six of his last ten matches and it has been a complete mixed bag of brilliance and rubbish. His record in his World Championship openers is played seven and won six.

Hempel beat fellow German, Martin Schindler 3-0 in a surprisingly poor first round match. Perhaps that win will have relaxed him, and he can bring his A game tonight. It is a very good A game, and he could give Van den Bergh a hard time and he could get something out of the match.

Van den Bergh usually plays to a high standard in his openers. He is very professional and prepares well. He is the 1.30 favourite and Hempel 4.00.

Tuesday Evening PDC World Championship Tips: 1 point Van den Bergh to win -1.5 sets @ 1.73 with Ladbrokes

Devon Petersen vs. Raymond Smith

Smith was impressive when beating Jamie Hughes 3-1. Hughes had a bit of double trouble but Smith scored well and took his chances very professionally.

Petersen has lost nine of his last ten matches and is there for the taking. His only win was a laboured 6-4 against Darren Webster who has been out of form for a couple of years and lost his tour card as a result.

Petersen is the marginal 1.91 favourite with Aussie Smith 2.00. It is impossible to back a player who is losing so many matches and Smith has to be the call here.

Tuesday Evening PDC World Championship Tips: 1 point Raymond Smith to win @ 2.00 with Betvictor
